MediaTek has announced, through its official account on the Weibo platform, its plans to announce a new version of the Dimensity processors at an event to be held tomorrow.
The Dimensity 8100 chip has been the focus of a lot of leaks recently, and with MediaTek announcing the event scheduled to be launched tomorrow, expectations indicate that the upcoming release is the Dimensity 8100 chip.
Leaks via Digital Chat Station have revealed the specifications of the Dimensity 8100 processor, which will be launched for the first time in one of the upcoming Redmi phones next month.
On the other hand, previous leaks indicated that the Dimensity 8100 chip comes with a performance that mimics the Snapdragon 888, as the MediaTek processor scored 800,000 points in the performance tests in AnTuTu.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor also comes with a 5 nm manufacturing process, in the TSMC manufacturing process, that includes 4 Cortex-A78 cores at 2.85GHz, 4 Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, and it also comes with a Mali-G610 MC6 graphics card.
The processor also comes with a 4MB cache in L3, supports LPDDR5 random memory, and UFS 3.1 storage capacity.
