Twitter and Quill have announced a new acquisition that will allow Twitter message managers to better compete with other messaging apps.
Quill is a messaging app for communication, one that competes with other productivity messaging platforms like Slack. This app focused on keeping messages organized and designed its notification system to keep notifications to a minimum.
With this news, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Twitter app starts offering more powerful messaging features.
Twitter messaging is very simple compared to other messaging platforms like Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Discord and Telegram. The move solidifies Twitter’s new direction with CEO hopping following the recent departure of the company’s former CEO, and Twitter’s intent to expand beyond what it is.
It is very likely that Twitter could implement some kind of messaging channel to keep in touch with large communities of users.
And with Twitter Blue, the platform can only offer blue messaging features to users with high follower counts.
