The latest leaks confirmed MediaTek’s plans to launch the first version of the “G” series of chips, which are distinguished with 6 nanometers manufacturing accuracy, at an event to be held in the third quarter of 2022.
MediaTek is preparing to replace the Helio G96 chip with a 12nm manufacturing accuracy in the market with a new version of the series based on 6nm manufacturing accuracy.
MediaTek has not revealed the title of the next version of the āGā series chips, but the leaks confirm that it features the same CPU configuration as the G96, so it comes with two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.0 GHz, and 6 Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz .
The Mali G57 MC2 graphics card also comes, and the ISP processor in the chip is scheduled to support 108-megapixel cameras, 2K video recording at 30 frames per second, and supports FHD Plus display quality, with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
It is reported that the chip comes with the feature of connecting to 4G networks only, and it is expected that the chip will be announced at the end of the second half of 2022.
