The Chinese giant Huawei has started pushing the HarmonyOS 2 update for a number of the company’s old versions of devices and phones, with the update covering the nova 8 SE.
Huawei shared on the HarmonyOS account on the Weibo platform new details today about its plans to upgrade the operating system in old versions of the company’s phones and devices, and the HarmonyOS 2 update is scheduled to be launched for the following devices:
- nova 8 SE Vitality Special Edition
- M5 Youth Edition 8 8-inch Tablet
- M5 Youth 10.1 inch Tablet
- Enjoy Tablet 10.1 inch
- Honor Tablet 5 10.1 inch
- Honor Tablet 5 has an 8-inch size.
It is scheduled that users of these devices will have a limited number of new features when updating to HarmonyOS 2, but this update provides for older versions performance improvements in particular to restore the efficiency of the phone or tablet.
Users of these devices can now upgrade by going to Settings, then to the System tab, and then System updates, where the HarmonyOS 2 update is available.
Also, in the event that the update is not available, the user can go to the My Huawei application and then search for the “Upgrade Early Access” tab. Huawei also indicates that the update is currently available to users in the Chinese market, and it will be launched for global markets later.
