BMW is preparing to supply the back seat of its car with a luxury 8K theater screen with a resolution of 31 inches and 32:9 aspect ratio, which will be based on Fire TV from Amazon.
The display will support Bowers & Wilkins surround sound, as well as support for the fifth generation network.
However, content from Amazon will “only” play in 4K, and a few videos will take full advantage of the 32:9 aspect ratio.
You can also tilt the screen for optimal viewing, and two rear passengers can control the volume and the rest of the entertainment system.
BMW has not mentioned which cars will come with this theater screen, but you will access it as part of the My Modes feature that debuted with the iX.
