The latest reports published via MacRumors confirmed that Apple is currently working on testing a new device from the company that features a 9-inch foldable design.
Analyst Kuo clarified in his latest report that Apple will not launch its foldable version of the iPhone before 2025, but the company is already testing a 9-inch foldable device at the moment.
The report explains that the device comes with an OLED screen with dimensions that come between iPhone and iPad phones. The report also indicates that Apple is working on testing technologies and designing foldable devices through this version. The device is also expected to include some of the features provided in the final commercial model.
Analyst Kuo also confirms that Apple is currently targeting the development of foldable devices at the beginning with a medium-sized design, to launch later to develop distinctive devices with a larger screen size, to eventually present the first foldable iPhone phone.
It is noteworthy that previous analyst reports indicated Apple’s plans to launch the first foldable iPhone in 2024, while stressing in his last report that the development of this version may extend to 2025 or later years, with the first version combining the design of the iPhone and iPads.
