OnePlus has registered during the last period a patent in the design of foldable phones, as the design provided by the company features a triple folding screen.
This design is the first innovation of OnePlus in this category of smartphones, as leaks indicate that OnePlus is soon preparing to develop the first foldable version, to compete with the giants Huawei, Samsung and Xiaomi.
The OnePlus design features a tri-fold screen, as leaks indicate that the patent was submitted during 2020, and then the patent was published in July 2021.
The patent was also monitored in the WIPO database, and the patent schemes indicate the possibility of folding the phone in different directions to support the user with greater flexibility in running different applications, and the company is expected to provide later new details about its vision in this design.
