TikTok today announced a slew of updates coming to the mobile app, including resolution and effects improvements.
One of the major new changes that will be rolling out in select regions is the option to upload 1080p videos. While uploading the video, there will be an option to select more options and from there you can choose HD upload to enable 1080p uploads.
TikTok now also allows the use of a green screen effect in addition to a GIF, users can select a GIF through TikTok GIPHY and then overlay their video on top of the GIF using a green screen effect.
The new visual enhancement feature improves video image quality with just one click, and this makes basic changes including exposure compensation, color correction and low-light optimization on videos uploaded from the phone.
Sound effects use sound synthesis and can make any sound in the video sound like an animal or a musical instrument. To access this feature, click on “Sound Effects” on the left panel on the editing page.
