One of the most notable new features that iOS 15 brought is the SharePlay feature that helps you share the screen of any iPhone or iPad with others using the FaceTime app
Unfortunately, this feature is only available in iOS 15 and iPad OS 15. We will now show you the steps how to share the screen via FaceTime, but let us introduce you to the SharePlay feature first.
What is SharePlay in FaceTime iOS 15?
The ability to share the screen on FaceTime is one of the most important features that we have needed over the past years, especially for iPhone and iPad users.
This great feature will allow you to share the screen with others in order to watch videos together, listen to music simultaneously, or share presentations with your co-workers, or of course you can use the feature to help your friends or relatives access any of the phone settings in case they were unable to.
Easily share everything on your screen, whether it’s a web page, an app, books and documents, browsing the Gallery app, and much more.
At the WWDC event last June, Apple announced iOS 15, and intensified its talk about the SharePlay feature because of its importance, and explained that it has become a very necessary feature in order to watch TV shows and movies with others, and listen to music as well. Presumably, this feature will allow you to share whatever is going on on your screen no matter what kind of app or service you want to share with others.
How to use SharePlay:-
Launch the FaceTime application on your iPhone or iPad, then click on the “New FaceTime” tab and then start listing all the contacts you want to share your device screen with, then from the bottom of the screen click on the “FaceTime” tab
Once the linking process is completed, drag the Control Center window from the top, click on the SharePlay icon located at the bottom right of the Control Center, then click again on “Share My Screen” or in Arabic, “Share My Screen” and wait for a few moments and the screen sharing process will take place normally.
Once the screen sharing process is done, you can now open any app or service on your phone to share the screen with others via FaceTime.
You will always notice while the share icon appears at the top left of the screen throughout the sharing process, which indicates that the screen sharing process is active. By clicking on this icon you can enter the control panel of the FaceTime application.
